About Kateryna

Kateryna founded WonderWay from a lifelong love of Britain and years spent creating private journeys for discerning travellers. She knows the country not simply as a destination, but through the people, places and little details that bring a journey to life.

She still personally plans many WonderWay journeys, guided by one simple rule: if she would be delighted for her own family to experience it, it belongs in WonderWay.

A day in my Scotland

The morning I'd give you, if you let me

We'd leave before the coaches, while the loch still holds the mist. A flask of coffee, a slow road, and no need to be anywhere by a certain hour.

I'd take you to a glen I won't name here - the kind of place that makes people go quiet. We'd walk only as far as you wished, sit on a flat stone by the water, and let an hour pass without doing anything at all. That stillness is the whole point. It's what people remember years later, long after they've forgotten which castle came on which day.

Then lunch at a farm I trust, with a family who'll treat you like their own. That's Scotland, to me. Not a checklist - a feeling you carry home.

Three places Kateryna will always take you

  • The Clachaig Inn, Glencoe

A dram by the fire after a day in the glen. Nowhere feels more like home.

  • Plockton, at dusk

Palm trees in the Highlands, impossibly. I bring everyone here at golden hour.

  • Rogie Falls in autumn

Where the salmon leap. A short, gentle walk and one of Scotland’s quiet miracles.

In their words

  • “Our trip planner, Kate, really picked out the primo locations and staff to guide us throughout the city. It was like having a friend in London that was available on a moment's notice to step in, help out, and guide us on our way during the 2 weeks we were there.”
    Richard S.

    London, the Cotswolds & Oxford

  • “Kate did an awesome job tailoring a mother/daughter trip around Scotland with a wonderful balance of scheduled activities, suggested daily itineraries that still left us lots of flexibility to be spontaneous and explore. We made adjustments to meet budget requirements without sacrificing amenities.”
