About Vira
As a child I turned the pages of colourful magazines in my mother's library and dreamed of standing in those places myself: white-sand beaches and islands, castles and palaces, waterfalls and icebergs.
After graduating in geography, I made that dream come true and spent years travelling the world as cabin crew. There is a special kind of magic in having breakfast in Paris and dinner in Dubai. I have visited more than 60 countries, and what I loved most was the smiles of people landing somewhere new.
When I finally put my wings to rest, I wanted to share what I had learnt and help other travellers discover the world. I love nature, mountains and sport. Fishing, hiking, cycling and active journeys of every kind are my idea of a perfect holiday.
A day in my Scotland
You wake to the smell of fresh coffee and breakfast drifting through the guest house.
Early in the morning you stroll down to the River Tay. The air is fresh, already a little crisp at the end of summer. There is birdsong, the hum of bees, the murmur of the river and the whisper of the forest nearby.
As the first rays of sun begin to warm the air, it feels as though you have stepped into a fairy tale.

A blissful getaway at the end of summer.

Where the puffins nest on the cliffs above the sea.

Live music, good laughs and a warm room at the end of the day.
